Elcel is the Director of Advent Ark Lawyers Limited and a senior practising lawyer specialising in immigration and property law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) with a focus on communication and critical writing, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland, and has undertaken postgraduate studies in commercial law. Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, Elcel was among the first recipients of New Zealand’s formal qualification in Immigration Advice.

Her immigration practice spans the full spectrum of temporary and residence matters, including waivers, compliance investigations, deportation, ministerial interventions, section 61 requests —  with particular expertise in complex character and bona fide matters, unlawful status and high-stakes appeals before the Immigration and Protection Tribunal.

Elcel also leads the firm’s property practice, advising on residential and commercial conveyancing, refinancing, business acquisitions and commercial documentation. As a member of the New Zealand Law Society Property Law Section, with formal training in conveyancing, she is at the forefront of developments in property law and practice.

A long-time contributor to the World Justice Project, she is actively involved in promoting access to justice, human rights and the advancement of migrant and culturally diverse communities.

Her practice is driven by integrity, purpose and a deep commitment to helping migrants, families, investors and business owners create lasting and meaningful transformation in New Zealand.

Emily Wang holds a Master of Management and brings over ten years of experience in legal administration to her role at Advent Ark Lawyers. Her expertise spans trust account management, property transactions and the day-to-day administration of a busy legal practice — areas where precision, reliability and discretion are essential.

Trust account management is a highly regulated and significant responsibility within any law firm, and Emily’s extensive experience in this area provides clients with confidence that matters involving client funds are handled with utmost care and accuracy.

Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Emily plays a key role in the firm’s daily operations, helping ensure matters are managed efficiently and clients receive dependable support throughout the legal process.

Emily is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Nerimar is a Legal Administrator at Advent Ark Lawyers Limited with a background as a qualified real estate agent and extensive client service expertise. Her first-hand understanding of property transactions, combined with a strong client care focus and experience supporting immigration matters, enables her to provide informed and reliable support at every stage of a client’s legal matter.

Known for her professionalism, reliability and client-focused approach, Nerimar ensures matters are managed efficiently and that every client feels supported and at ease when dealing with often complex legal processes.

Fluent in both English and Tagalog, Nerimar communicates meaningfully with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

With a degree from Auckland University of Technology, Nerimar is passionate about helping clients navigate immigration and property matters in New Zealand with clarity and confidence.
